Government Holdings of Gilts

Report Overview

This report provides data on the nominal amount of each gilt held by the government at each month end and is published within 10 working days of the following month. If a new gilt which is issued does not appear in the data you retrieve, it is because government holdings in that gilt are currently zero.

1 Figures in this table include gilt holdings by the Commissioners for the Reduction of the National Debt (CRND) and the DMO. Excluded from the figures are holdings by local authorities, public corporations and the Bank of England.
