DMO Gilt Purchase and Sale Service Information

The DMO offers an “execution only” Purchase and Sale Service for private investors residing in the United Kingdom to purchase and sell gilts directly from the DMO in the secondary market.

The Purchase and Sale Service is administered by the HM Treasury appointed registrar, Computershare Investor Services PLC.

To purchase gilts via the Purchase and Sales Service, investors are required to be a member the DMO's Approved Group of Investors.

Gilts can be bought or sold by completing the relevant form. Payments (for purchases) and certificates (for sales) must be sent at the same time as the purchase/sale application otherwise the application may be rejected.

Please note that you are not able to specify the price or a maximum/minimum price at which your purchase/sale of gilts are to be made. This is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold gilts.

To view the full Terms and Conditions of the Purchase and Sale Service, or access an application form to buy/sell gilts, please visit the Computershare website.

Further information relating to the Purchase and Sale Service including commission rates, can be found within the Retail Questions and Answers section of the website.

Neither Computershare nor DMO offer investment advice. If you are unsure of what action to take you should obtain independent financial advice. The value of gilts may go down as well as up, which may result in you receiving less than you originally invested if you sell your holding before or at redemption.
